PTR, Inc offers Instructor Manuals for 21 courses or academies for paraeducators that comprise the CO-TOP Curriculum. These manuals were developed and validated through a rigorous evaluation process which involved field testing with over 10,000 paraeducators. The CO-TOP courses can be offered to paraeducators for college credit, but also work well in workshop or inservice format.

The curriculum covers topics documented in a multitude of needs assessments across states and trains paraeducators in ways that respect the preferences of adult learners. The curriculum is position-relevant, practical, and comprehensive so that paraeducators walk away with knowledge that can be applied the next day! Moreover, the content of the CO-TOP academies respects the legal and ethical role distinctions between paraeducators and teachers.
